March 31, 2015 – Are you hibernating? Want to see your neighbors again and have some fun? Then pull your sneakers out of the back of your closet and get ready to walk for a great local cause on May 2nd. You will be supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities who live in your community and are served by Minute Man Arc.
The annual Minute Man March is a fundraising walk through West Concord benefiting people with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other challenges. The community will come together on May 2nd to celebrate participants as they walk, wheel and roll to the finish line. Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Proceeds will benefit more than 700 individuals served each year by Minute Man arc through therapeutic services, early intervention, housing, recreation, and jobs.
Starting and ending at 130 Baker Avenue Extension in Concord, hundreds of supporters will loop through West Concord village and beyond wearing signature tie dye shirts. After walking, participants are invited to enjoy lunch provided by award-winning Blue Ribbon BBQ. The event will also feature music by DJ Brew and a super raffle including a 47″ TV with LED and HD resolution, Red Sox tickets, hand crafted jewelry by local Merlin’s Silver Star and many more great items. Crafts, games, face painting, a bounce house, and other offerings for kids will round out the day.
