April 11, 2016 – With the last of the April snow showers done, it’s time to give old man winter the boot! Dig out those running shoes and spring jackets and come join your neighbors in an all-out fun time on May 7th at the Annual Minute Man March. Our new Emerson Field location is central to all the happenings under the Big Tent! You will be supporting children and adults with developmental disabilities who live in your community and are served by Minute Man Arc.

The Minute Man March is a fundraising walk through Concord center benefiting people with Down syndrome, autism, cerebral palsy and other challenges. The community will come together on May 7th to celebrate participants as they walk, wheel and roll to the finish line. Everyone is invited to join in the fun. Proceeds will benefit more than 700 individuals served each year by Minute Man Arc through therapeutic services, early intervention, housing, recreation and jobs.

Starting and ending at Emerson Field in Concord, hundreds of supporters will loop through Concord center wearing signature tie dye shirts. After walking, participants are invited to enjoy a healthy lunch while listening to music by DJ Brew. This year’s super raffle will feature prime Red Sox tickets, gorgeous hand-made scarves, children’s items and exquisite jewelry. Crafts, games, face painting, a bounce house and other offerings for kids will round out the day.

Reconnect with your old neighbors, meet new neighbors and make friends at the Minute Man March on May 7th. Registration starts at 9AM, walk at 10AM and celebrate beginning at 11AM. For more on walking and fundraising, visit www.minutemanarc.org and view information about the March under NEWS.
